Large granular lymphocytes are typically Cytotoxic (CD8+) T cells or NK cells.
Increased numbers of these cells usually indicate viral infection.
Appearance
Large granular lymphocytes, as the name suggests, contains few azurophilic granules in their abundant cytoplasm.
